Facilities

HOSTEL

NCIT has top-class hostel facilities for girls & boys. The hostel is ideally located between the Academic Block and the Library Block so that the residents can easily move abound-even during the college hour. From the safety and security point-of-view,too,the hostel is an ideal place to live in. The rooms are quite spacious, airy and well-ventilated. The mess arrangements in the hostel are the best and the finest. The meals are supplied at the most reasonable rates and are of the most hygeinic quality.

Just at a stone’s throw from the hostel, there is a mini shopping complex where STD/PCO booth and Xeroxing facilities have been provided for the convenience of the residents.

Common room facilities exist in the hostel where newspapers and periodicals are duly provided. Arrangements for various games, stereo and television exist in the hostel common room for recreation. To encourage sports and cultural activities among the residents, intra-hostel. Games and cultural programs are frequently organized.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Students seeking admission to the college hostel should submit the hostel admission form available from the college office. Applicants should personally report to the warden along with their parents/local Guardians after paying the hostel fees.
  2. Inmates are required to sign in a register every time they leave and come back to the hostel premises (except for the college working hours)giving full details. Any inmate leaving the hostel without having signed the register is liable to be fined Rs. 50/- in the first instance and Rs. 100/- on subsequent occasion. If a student repeatedly leaves the hostel without any information, she will be expelled from the hostel.
  3. No inmate is permitted to go out during college hours without Director’s /HoD's permission. Application for going out of station has to be submitted 24 hours in advance.
  4. Inmates have to be back in the hostel as per time schedule given below and attend the roll call every day except when they are granted prior permission officially. No inmate should leave the hostel after attendance.
    Summer (Mar. to Oct.)7:00pm
    Winter (Nov. to Feb.) 6:00pm
  5. If a resident leaves hostel without the prior sanction of  the warden, no subsequent letter from parent/guardian will be accepted, and disciplinary action will be taken.
  6. Visitors, duly certified by the warden in form no. NCIT/H/1can be allowed to meet the inmates. Two sets of Photographs of certified visitors should be submitted to the warden.
  7. All cases of misconduct/violation of rules shall be referred to the Proctorial Board .Anyone  such in case who is found guilty may lead to the resident's expulsion from the hostel.


CANTEEN

The college has a suitable canteen of its own where all types of eatables are readily available at affordable rates/prices. The canteen is the most congenial place where students can sit together, relax.

BANKING FACILITY

To meet the banking needs of students as well as employees, the NCIT campus has a computerized extension counter of Oriental Bank of Commerce. The counter is fully equipped with ATM and Core Banking Facilities. It also offers short and long term loan facilities for students.

TRANSPORT FACILITY
The college has a fleet of buses to provide conveyance for students as well as employees from Panipat, Karnal, Gohana, Rohtak and Sonepat.

MEDICAL FACILITIES
First-aid medical facilities are readily available in the college campus. Besides, the institution has an ambulance of its own to meet the eventuality, if any. A qualified doctor is always available in the campus.

PARKING FACILITY
The college has a spacious parking close to the main gate where the students can safely park their vehicles. The stand ensures the safety of the vehicles while the students are busy with their college activities.

GUEST HOUSE
The college has a Guest House with well-furnished rooms and excellent catering services. The Guest House is situated next to the Girls' Hostel, at a walking distance from the Administrative Building.

STANDBY POWER GENERATORS
The college has standby generators to ensure uninterrupted supply of power to the campus.

WATER SUPPLY
The college has its own water supply system comprising a tube well an underground reservoir and a pump house to supply cooled ,filtered and purified water.

SHOPPING COMPLEX
To meet the day-to-day requirements of all concerned, the college has a mini shopping complex where all types of stationary items,soft drinks and snacks are readily available. The complex has its own STD/ISD booth.

GYMNASIUM
The college has a gymnasium for students as well as the faculty members with all kinds of facilities.

WASTE WATER TREATMENT
The waste water from sewerage and other sources is scientifically treated and duly recycled to the standard potable water. This     not only saves water but also prevents pollution by appropriate treatment of harmful affluents.By carrying out such innovative projects and plans, the institution is serving the great cause of national/human welfare.

Affidavits to be submitted by all Students after taking the Admission.  All students and their parents/guardians are to submit affidavits regarding non-indulgence in RAGGING of any kind.  The details can be had from the college office.

 

»  07.5.2011 ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEES
Ragging is a CRIME as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.  The college and the management is very strict in handling the cases of Ragging.    Anti-Ragging Committees to curb this social evil.

»  24.6.2011 ADMISSION OPEN IN MANAGEMENT SEAT
25% of the total intake in each stream is reserved for the Management/NRI Seats.  The admission in the Management and NRI Quota is OPEN.  The aspirants can fill the Registration Form of BTech Programme of NCIT along with their choices of the streams in order of preference.  This will be used in allocation of the seats to the candidates who will apply for such seats

 

»  23.5.2011 NATIONAL WORKSHOP ORGANIZED SUCCESSFULLY
The college organized National Workshop on "Recent Trends in Communication Engg. and Network Security" on 21st May, 2011.  In this Workshop 500 delegates participated from the nearby states particularly from Punjab, Haryana, NCR-Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir etc.  The Speakers from NIT, Kurukshetra, Panjab Engineering College, Chandigarh etc shared their experience in Communication and Security of Networks with the participants.  Organizers included Ms Mani Arora, Mr Naresh, Ms Mandeep Kaur, Mr Lalit, Ms Ursula and   Mr Parveen  .
